Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Paralegal to support a busy litigation team handling a wide range of insurance defense matters. The ideal candidate will have strong litigation experience, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple cases from inception through trial.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist attorneys in the management of insurance defense litigation matters.
  • Draft, review, and file pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and correspondence.
  • Coordinate and manage document production, record collection, and case files.
  • Prepare discovery responses, medical record summaries, and deposition summaries.
  • Schedule depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials.
  • Maintain litigation calendars and monitor court deadlines.
  • Conduct legal research and assist with trial preparation.
  • Communicate with clients, insurance adjusters, experts, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
  • Prepare exhibits, witness files, and trial notebooks.
  • Manage electronic filing in state and federal courts.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree, Paralegal Certificate, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of insurance defense litigation experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of civil litigation procedures and court rules.
  • Experience handling high-volume caseloads.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, document management systems, and e-filing platforms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
